Our "madd" is 100% locally harvested Senegalese Madd made into spicy preserves. An edible wild fruit, "Saba Senegalensis" is full of vitamin C. We provide a Madd fruit that has a delicious spicy and tangy flavor that is purely unique and exotic.

What is MADD anyway?

Wikipedia: Saba Senegalensis, known as weda in the Moore, French, and English languages, is a fruit-producing plant of the Apocynaceae family, native to the Sahel region of sub-Saharan Africa. It has several common names in various West African Languages. The tree grows predominantly on riverbanks and in woodlands in The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Somalia, Mali, and Ivory Coast. 

 

Madd is a very popular fruit in West Africa. It versatilely shines because of the many different ways to prepare it and always come up with a delicious snack for your enjoyment. You can serve it plain, sweet, or spicy and still get to enjoy this delicacy. It surely is one of the all-time favorites.
